I SHOULD BE Sleeping, But...

...I'm watching (finally) this past Saturday night's SNL, with Lindsay Lohan and Pearl Jam. Mostly fer PJ.

Eddie Vedder looks like he did in the early 90s, 'cept a little older. He looks good, and they SOUND good. They played two selections from the new album, and damned if I don't smell a tour coming up.

I might wanna start saving the money now....

In '92/'93 or thereabouts, I was going to work the graveyard shift in Seattle. I stopped at the West Seattle Thriftway on the way to work to buy smokes and something fer lunch.

I was standing at the checkout line....when I noticed a familar face. Guess who?!?

Yep...it was him, buying 2 bottles of red wine and 2 packs of Marb Reds. I got a tad bit jittery and kept dropping things. He picked stuff up for me, and made a few sweet comments and chatted with the checker for a moment, then paid for his stuff and went off into the night.

Flabbergasted, I inquired of the check-out guy if that was, indeed, whom I thought it was. "Oh yeah....Eddie comes in here all the time! Lives just down the road somewhere. He's a really nice guy, too. Always talking to everyone."

Wow....and he has the nicest smile....way better when yer satnding right next to him....

It is my goal to see PJ next time they play. I've heard some live tracks, and it sounds fucking bad ass!

Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 9AM for the second Gorge show....49.50 for GA. I wanna go, but we've actually seen PJ 4 times, so I can't really justify the ticket purchase with myself. WAH!
